Experience the best of Tanzania's northern circuit with this comprehensive 5-day safari. From the elephant herds of Tarangire to the vast plains of the Serengeti and the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater, this safari showcases the incredible diversity of Tanzania's landscapes and wildlife.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a picnic lunch and afternoon game drive in the park, with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. In the evening, head to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, driving through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with stunning views of the highlands. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge/camp, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, home to the greatest concentration of wildlife in Africa. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Enjoy a full day of game drives in the Serengeti, with a picnic lunch in the bush. The Serengeti is renowned for its predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as large herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration. Return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at Olduvai Gorge, an important paleoanthropological site, for a brief visit. Continue to your lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight, with spectacular views over the crater.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
Early breakfast followed by descent into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to approximately 30,000 animals including the endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch in the crater, ascend and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
